About the software

Development started in 1985.  U.S. Department of Education funding in 1997 (Contract RW97076134) was instrumental in helping us complete the prototype of our software.  We shipped the atlas as a CD-ROM in 2002 and as a free internet download in 2003. The software is written in the C++ and the Microsoft DirectX Game Programming languages.
